The Arrow of Light Patrol is the pinnacle of the Cub Scouting journey, designed for fifth-grade children (typically 10-11 years old). This program prepares Scouts for the transition to Scouts BSA by introducing them to more advanced activities and leadership opportunities.
The Arrow of Light program is the highest rank in Cub Scouting and serves as a bridge to Scouts BSA. It focuses on developing leadership skills, building character, and fostering a sense of community and teamwork. The program includes a series of adventures that challenge Scouts to grow and prepare for the next level of Scouting.

To earn the Arrow of Light rank, our Arrow of Light Scouts will complete six required adventures and 2 elective adventures. Here are the required adventures:
In addition to the required adventures, AOLs must also complete 2 Elective Adventures. AOLs are encouraged to complete as many Elective Adventures as they desire.

The Arrow of Light Cub Scout uniform has the following parts:
Shirt: The official tan uniform shirt is available with long or short sleeves and has button-flap pockets. Pants: The official green shorts, long pants, skorts, and roll up pants. Belt: Official green web belt with BSA buckle. Socks: Official green socks are available in three lengths: ankle, crew, and knee. Hat: Optional - Arrow of Light Scouts may wear any official BSA hat. Neckerchief: Optional - Arrow of Light Scouts may wear any official BSA neckerchief. Neckerchief Slide: Official Scouts BSA slide with BSA emblem. Adventures Colors: The Adventure Colors are worn on the right sleeve to display the Arrow of Light Adventure Pins that have been earned. Loops: Official Cub Scouts blue loops are worn on the shoulders of the shirt.
